Museum of American Porcelain Art Honors Women’s Contributions During March

Wed 3/5 @10AM-1PM

For decades, the sprawling Telling Mansion on Mayfield Road, built in 1928, was the South Euclid-Lyndhurst branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, a function for which it was ill-suited. When it built a new facility on Green Road, which opened in 2015 despite the protests of activist/againster Fran Mensch, the mansion was sold in 2013 to collector Richard Barone, a South Euclid native who used the library as a child. He turned it into the Museum of American Porcelain Art.

To honor Women’s History Month in March, it will have a special exhibit spotlighting the role of women in this medium, sharing their creativity and how they impacted this particular art form.  The museum is open every Saturday from 10am-1pm. It will also be open on Wednesday March 5 from 10am-1pm with free admission. Go here for more information.
