When it comes to fighting for change, women are often the ones on the front lines. In recent years, woman have powered groups such as Indivisible and Black Lives Matter, since the impact of government policies often falls most heavily on them.
The next in the series of “Forums That Matter,” hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Society of Cleveland is called“Women Changemakers: Shaping the Political Landscape.” It will feature two women who are trying to do that: Katie Paris, founder of Red Wine & Blue which has worked to get suburban women to become active and speak out; and Sue Dean Dyke, whose work with the League of women Voters spurred her to create her own organization called Mobilize the Vote NEO, which works to make sure voters are registered and engages people in canvassing and circulating petitions, making sure underrepresented people have an entry into politics.
The forum is free and open to all. The forum will also be available on Zoom.
