Forum Looks at “The State of the LGBTQ+ Community”

Thu 2/27 @ 6PM

The state of the LGBTQ+ community is … not good. There’s a lot of fear, anxiety and anger as they’ve been assigned the scapegoat role by politicians who’d prefer to unite people around hate and bigotry rather than propose policies that uplift everyone in the community. Trans people in particular and trans kids in particular are being assaulted with attempts to negatively impact their lives.

The LGBT Community Center and Trinity Cathedral will be presenting a program on “The State of the LGBT+ Community,” taking place at Trinity Cathedral. It will include a panel discussion, a Q&A, and calls to action for contacting elected representatives to let them know attacks on the community aren’t what we sent them to Columbus or Washington D.C. to do. The event will also be livestreamed on the LGBT Center’s website.
