Doubting Thomas Artists Pay Tribute to “Stupid Cupid” in Valentine’s Show

Fri 2/14 @ 7-10PM

Anyone who’s been to the scrappy little Doubting Thomas Gallery in Tremont — the area’s longest surviving art gallery and one of the few holdouts in this once art-flooded neighborhood — knows that its shows are an unpredictable hodge-podge of  work by new and established, professional and amateur artists, in a variety of mediums, with some works looking like they’d been labored over for months and other appearing as if the artist had dashed it out that afternoon. And it’s that unpredictability that makes it so much fun.

Its Stupid Cupid 2025 show is likely to be more of the same, with some familiar names and some you still have to get to know — 18 in all. This show features a lot of the regulars and most Doubting Thomas patrons and habitues of other area art galleries will know the work of Hadley Connor, Joan of Art, Tessa LaBaron, Shawen Mishak, Jennifer Nickler, Chris Yarmock, Nina Vivian Huryn, Clay Parker, Scott Pickering, Nicholas Deveney, Solita Deveney and Mark Ireland.

If you’re doing the Walkabout Tremont, have dinner first and come here later; the party goes until late here.
