Thu 2/13 @ 7PM
Renaissance Noire is an evening of music that celebrates the Black diaspora and the diverse musical genres its spawned. Taking place at the BOP STOP, it was put together by Cleveland artist Hyperius Blake, leader of Black Voltron, formerly Hyperius Blake & the Sound Experiment. The ensemble’s musical range includes soul, jazz, disco, neo-soul and world music.
Black Voltron will be joined by vocalist Esther Fitz, vocalist/bassist/keyboard player Afi Scruggs and hip-hop artist Jimari Kemet.
“We’re here to show what happens when universes collide,” says Blake.
The evening will also be livestreamed on the BOP STOP’s site. Go here for tickets.
