Celebrate Valentine’s Day With a Dose of The Cure at Dark Wave Dance Cave

Sat 2/15 @ 9PM-2AM

This month, the monthly Dark Wave Dance Cave event at the Winchester Music Tavern takes its patented gloomy-driven approach to Valentine’s Day when it presents Lovecats — and yes, that IS a reference to the 1983 track by The Cure, a disarmingly offbeat tune with lyrics such as “We slip through the streets while everyone sleeps/Getting bigger and sleeker and wider and brighter/We bite and scratch and scream all night/Let’s go and throw all the songs we know.”

That’s one of the many many Cure tracks DJs Matthew Darkstar and Mimi Dromette will be playing over the course of an evening of darkwave, goth, synth pop and more “with an emphasis,” they promise “on love songs and of course lots of The Cure!”

Extraordinaire Photos will be there with a photo backdrop, the place will sport dark, love-themed décor, the bar will be pouring themed cocktails and there’ll be a romantic raffle at midnight.   decorations, themed cocktails, and a romantic raffle at midnight!
