Canned Goods Are the Raw Material of Akron Art Museum’s CANstruction

Sat 3/1 @ 11AM-5PM

If you’d like to see an unusual event in which art is created in front of you from some unlikely materials, come on down to the Akron Art Museum for CANstruction.

CANstruction is a contest featuring teams building sculptures out of donated canned goods. Each teams has a ten-foot space to create something such as an animal, cartoon character or pop culture icons, all of which have been the subjects of past CANstructions. The sculptures will be on view through March 16, but you can come and watch them being built.

Proceeds will benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and the Greater Cleveland Foodbank. It’s free to attend but you should register here.
