Akron Art Museum’s Midwinter Tunes Brightens Up Dreariest Season

Sat 2/8 @ 6-10PM

Once again, the Akron Art Museum is offering a respite from the dreary chill gray weather with its Midwinter Tune party.

As the title implies, there will be music, and lots of it. DJ Palaces, darkwave electronic artist Nature Nvoke, synth duo QIX, synth rock quartet Disintegration, and Akron hip-hop artist Floco Torres will be the providers. But there’s plenty more. There’ll be a dance performance by Abrepaso Flamenco, accompanied by a jazz quartet. There’ll be Valentine printmaking with Yike Design, creative offerings from Nightlight Cinema and Elizabeth’s Bookshop, and food available for purchase from Good Company Akron, as well as a cash bar.

In addition, the galleries will be open and it’s the final weekend for the museum’s Glow: Neon and Light show which, if you haven’t seen it, you definitely don’t want to miss!

We’re told the event is loud, but earplugs will be available at check-in and the museum store! Admission is free but you should register here.
