Mon 1/13 @ 6:30-8PM and 7-9PM
Been sitting around your warm and cozy house too long and feeling sedentary? Work out those kinks in your legs and get your blood flowing on a hike led by a Summit Metro Parks naturalist. They’re offering two to kick off the week.
At the Springfield Bog Metro Park, they’ll be taking a group down the 1.6 mile Prairie Trail on a Wolf Moon Hike to bask in the full moon while hearing stories about Ohio’s lost predator and why the moon is called that. That walk runs from 6:30-8pm. Over at the Liberty Park Nature Center, you can also take a full moon hike on its Coyote Run Trail and hear stories from a naturalist. But there’s more! Afterwards you can look at the moon through telescopes and enjoy some hot chocolate by a fire. The event runs from 7-9pm. For more information on both hikes, call 330-865-8065. Both are free and open to all.
