Join a Workshop to Help Create the Brite Winter Festival

Sat 1/25 @ 2-6PM

It’s not that far away: Cleveland’s first major festival of the year, Brite Winter, will be taking place on the East Bank of the Flats on Saturday February 22.

Since it began 16 years ago, this multi-media festival has always had a DIY element inviting the community to participate in creating the installations that give it a distinctive flavor. In recent years, it’s partnered with IngenuityLabs to host pre-festival workshops in its maker spaces at the Hamilton Building.

This year’s theme is — unsurprisingly — Sweet Sixteen, so makers who come down to the workshops will be helping to create immersive sculptures and installations with a confectionary theme including a 50s-inspired Sweet Shoppe. No experience is necessary — team leaders will show you the ropes — but if you have skills, bring them!

The workshops will be held on Saturdays from 2-6pm and Thursday evenings from 6-9pm, through Thursday February 13. Register for a workshop here.
