Geauga Parks Host an Evening of Outdoor Winter Fun

Sat 2/1 @ 6-9PM

We’re stuck with winter so more and more communities and organizations are figuring that if you can’t stop it, you might as well celebrate it.

So the Geauga Park District is presenting a brand new all-ages event at its Big Creek Park called Wild About Winter Nights. It’s an entirely outdoors event (dress warm!) will include a big bonfire in the field bear Maple Groove Shlter, a smaller bonfire for making s’mores. An owl hike lead by Chief Naturalist John Kolar, a luminary-lit trail for self-guided hiking, a naturalist-led astronomy with a park telescope, snow games and snowshoeing. There’ll also be hot cocoa in the shelter and a nature-based playground to explore.

It’s free and no registration is required. There’ll be a free shuttle from the Donald W. Meyer Center and Deep Woods Lodge parking lots if the lot at Maple Grove Shelter is full. Big Creek Park is located at 9160 Robinson Road in Chardon Township.
