Artist Garrett Weider’s shop is a colorful garden tucked in what is otherwise a dark corner of 78th Street Studios’ Ramp Level. His bright floral paintings on the walls outside his glass-fronted space beckon you inside his studio where you’ll find him working on paintings or designs for the many murals he’s been commissioned to create. His paintings come in all sizes, most of them featuring stylized nature designs — flowers, leaves, mushrooms — influenced by graffiti art, and you’ll also find amusing small items such as his Lido Lounge pouches and his racy greeting cards. He’ll also do custom designs. His work — and his conversation at Third Fridays — will brighten your day.
