Chicago’s Schola Antiqua is yet another group that focuses on early music, specifically pre-modern vocal music. It was founded in 2000 and since then it’s performed across the country at festivals, universities and concert series, at venues such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago and Chicago’s Newberry Library, the Memorial Art Gallery, plus other festivals, universities, and concert series across the country.
The ensemble will be coming to the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in downtown Cleveland for a free performance (a free-will offering will be taken). There’s also free parking at the garage just east of the cathedral on Rockwell.
