Violinist Mary Beth Ions is one of this area’s busiest freelance musicians, performing with a variety of ensembles including the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, the Playhouse Square pit orchestra and the Opera Cleveland Orchestra. She also presents educational programs, performs as a soloist and leads the Amethyst String Quartet, which plays for a wide variety of public and private events.
This week that ensemble will be returning to Trinity Cathedral, where they’ve played many times previous, for one of its biweekly Brown Bag concerts. The one-hour free concerts are ideal for a work day break; as the name suggests you can bring our lunch and eat while you take while you listen.
