Through January 5
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat, now onstage at the Beck Center, has enough energy to power the holiday lights on Public Square. Superb cast. Mary Bridget Davies (Narrator) and Jimmie Helms (Pharaoh) have pipes that rule. As Joseph, Baldwin Wallace junior Jacob Anderson has a smooth voice, megawatt smile and boy band good looks. Director Scott Spence makes every visual joke land. The choreography by Lauren Marousek, soon to be Oberlin faculty, and psychedelic Op Art projections by Brittany Merenda are as good as anything we’ve seen at Playhouse Square. The band rocks. Total entertainment package. We’d come back in a heartbeat.
