Through January 12
Big Fun on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights closed in 2018 after three decades of selling vintage toys, fun novelties, collectibles, pop culture detritus and more to several generations of kids and their parents. Last year, former patrons were over the moon when founder/owner Steve Presser reopened at his still-empty former location for a long-run pop-up shop over the holidays in 2023.
The response was so strong that he’s doing it again this year. After a busy holiday season, they’ll be open for business through Sunday January 12. Stop in to pick up something for yourself — you’re sure to find a toy, old magazine or an item (such as an old Hough Bakery box) that will remind you of your childhood. In addition, Big Fun has original art and mugs by artists from Medina’s Planet Joy Art Studio where Steve’s wife, Debbie Apple-Presser, is artistic director. Proceeds all go to Planet Joy which works with artists with developmental challenges.
