Is there an orchestra out there that doesn’t have a holiday pops concert, a widely appealing coffer-filler for symphonies? If there is, it’s not the Akron Symphony, which is hosting its holiday pops this weekend. You’ll get to hear the orchestra play a boatload of familiar tunes, both modern and classical, you’ll get to sing along with them, and chances are pretty good you’ll get a visit from Santa too.
It takes place in the usual spot — EJ Thomas Hall. There’ll probably even be a Christmas tree in the lobby! Get tickets here.
