Once again, the Akron Civic Theatre gives families an opportunity to get into the holiday spirit with the screening of two popular classic holiday films — for free — at the Wayside Holiday Movies event.
At 2pm it will be screening the 2003 film Elf, starring Will Ferrell as a man who has been raised since childhood by elves at the North Pole, who takes a trip to NYC to try to find his real father. Then at 6pm, the animated Christmas film The Polar Express will light up the screen with its story about a magical train ride to the North Pole and how it restores a boy’s faith in the existence of Santa Claus. There will be free popcorn!
Tickets are free but should be picked up at Wayside Furniture , 1367 Canton Road, Akron or the Akron Civic Theatre box office.
