Pop/Jazz Singer Carol Leslie Brings Her Eclectic Repertoire Back to the BOP STOP

Vocalist Carol Leslie emigrated from Scotland and landed in Cleveland where she fitted easily into the area music community, becoming a regular in local clubs such as the BOP STOP. Her diverse strengths are performing classics from the Great American Songbook, contemporary pop songs and R&B tunes, with influences such as Billie Holiday,  Ella Fitzgerald, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross and Frank Sinatra, and even Lady Gaga. Live at the BOP STOP, she featured tunes such as live renditions of tunes such as Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning,” the Beatles’ “We Can Work It Out” and the sultry bossa nova hit from 1964, “The Girl from Ipanema.”

When she returns for another show at the BOP STOP, she’ll once again be bringing a talented team to accompany her, including pianist Ed Ridley II, guitarist Dan Bruce, upright bassist Tim Lekan and drummer Ricky Exton. Erny Nuñez, A rising singer who has been called a “young Sinatra” will join her on a few songs.
