Political Art Show Part 2 Opens at Doubting Thomas — with Soap Box!

Fri 11/8 @ 6-10PM

Currently there’s a show at Tremont’s Doubting Thomas Gallery of political art that opened in early October. As is typical with this gallery, it was a hodgepodge of pieces by more than 40 artists in a variety of mediums, some deeply detailed and skillful, others looking like they’d been cranked out on the fly. Many of the works addressed the currently election season, while others had a more general focus or even looked back to the Bush/Cheney years (ah, the innocence …).

With the election in the can, the gallery is opening its Political Art Show (Round 2) with additional work. And being Doubting Thomas, there are surely going to be some pieces created in the days after the election and rushed onto the walls. At the opening on November 8, which coincides with Walkabout Tremont, there will be a Soap Box created by Joan of Art (Joan Devaney) for visitors to comment on the art work and voice their opinions in general.

It’s free and all are welcome.
