Four Cleveland Duos Share the Stage at the Beachland Tavern

Sat 11/9 @ 8PM

There’s a show this weekend at the Beachland Tavern with a very interesting concept. It’s called the Cleveland two-piece fest, and it features local bands that are duos.

Topping the bill is the Baker’s Basement, a folkie combo who slip easily from lilting tunes into amusing ditties. With Kate Dedinsky on homemade bucket drums and Adam Grindler on guitar they blend a variety of sounds into their engaging and entertaining music.  They’ve been playing together since 2012 so don’t expect the amateurism the description might suggest. They’re really, really good. And one of the benefits of being a compact duo is shown by the fact that they’re departing on a November tour that will take them to New Orleans, Austin, San Antonio, Nashville, Buffalo and Cincinnati, among other places.

Also on the bill are heavy noise/drone combo Factual Brains, and a couple of two-woman bands, Urban Lair and Super Babes. Get tickets here.
