Regina Brett became widely known to Clevelanders for her long-running Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon Journal columns (she continues to do a weekly column for the Cleveland Jewish News), often focused on helping readers find uplift and inspiration in the challenges they face.
Her new book, Little Detours and Spiritual Adventures, is a collection of essays that take a similar approach, sharing stories both her personal struggles and those of people she’s known or met, and how they found light in the darkness.
“We all face detours,” she says. “It might be a diagnosis, a divorce, losing someone we love, or even an election that didn’t go our way. How we respond can change everything.”
You can catch her at one of her upcoming books events (schedule here) where you can buy her book from a local bookstore (very important!), chat with her and have her sign it.
