Wade Oval in University Circle brims with activities all summer long. But they aren’t over yet. YAY! Fall Fun is an afternoon for families with a host of activities kids typically enjoy. There’s a costume parade because these days, kids are looking for opportunities to wear their Halloween costume for way more than one day. There’s a screening of the Halloween film Hocus Pocus at 4:30. There’s a petting zoo, inflatable, a rock climbing wall and yes, as required by some unwritten law of family events, there will be face painting.
In addition, the event features “Educational Zones” aimed at kids from grades K-8: A STEM Zone with science activities; an Arts & Culture Zoom offering live music, theater and dance; a Discovery Zone with activities related to nature and history; and a Play Zone just for fun. Nearly two dozen community organizations will be hosting activities and there’ll be performances from Talespinner Children’s Theater, The Music Settlement and 10K Movement. Food and refreshment vendors will be onsite too.
The costume parade starts at 3:15 and if you sign your kids up in advance, they’ll get swag bags. Go here.
