It’s probably not too soon to think about doing some holiday shopping. Starting next month, there’ll be a raft of holiday shops opening and holiday markets taking place. But if you want to get a running start, head over to Lakewood’s Lake Erie Building aka the Screw Factory, an old industrial building packed with artist studios and boutique shops, for its fall art show and open studio event.
During this event, you can drop in on several dozen artists and small shops that have their doors open, chat with the creators and proprietors, and make selections from a full range of their offerings. In addition, you can stop in the big event spaces where you’ll find an array of guest artists offering even more types of art, crafts and unique specialty items.
