Now this is what I call inspirational! Social action group Greater Cleveland Congregations has been stepping on the gas to get people to vote, and on Tuesday October 29 they’ll be hosting an event with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, focusing on young, first-time voters.
Steppin’ and Rollin’ to the polls will meet at 10am at Trinity Cathedral and parade down Euclid Avenue over to the Board of Elections a couple of blocks away with 100 newly registered 18-year-old high school seniors voting for the first time. But you don’t have to be 18 or newly registered to join this march — long-time voters are welcome to come and celebrate with the newbies. Following voting, there’ll be a party.
