Sat 10/26 @ 10AM-8PM
You probably thought we were way past planting season but there’s still one more thing to go in the ground before the snow flies — garlic. And maybe you just weren’t thinking about a late October planting when the North Union Farmers Market held its garlic fest in August. Good news! Mulberry Creek Herb Garden in Huron is holding its garlic fest on Saturday October 26.
It’s an all-day affair where you can pick up a variety of seed garlic and a lot of other things as well: homemade pasta, local bakery, microgreens, gourmet popcorn and local farmer’s cheeses. There’ll also be a bunch of local vendors in the barn from 10am-5pm, selling crafts, food products and more; and garlic planting and using demos at 11:30am and 1:30pm. The Naughty Lobstah food truck will be onsite from noon to 7pm and the winery and greenhouse will be open from 10am-8pm for tours and tastings. Admission is free.
