If you’ve never been to the market at Farmer Jones Farm in Huron, you need to go: the market is filled with a dazzling variety of locally grown produce and other food products raised and made right in this region. Trust me, you’ll want to buy everything.
A good time to go is this weekend during the Farmer Jones Harvest Festival. Not only can you stock up on veggies during peak harvest season, but you and your family can take part in a host of special activities including pumpkin picking and painting, a corn maze, craft vendors, balloon creations, yard games, face painting, and live music by guitarist Conner Morehart (10am-1pm). And Chef Andy will be creating seasonal recipes and offering a taste as well as a recipe card to take home. Your shopping bag just got fuller!
It’s free, family-friendly and open to all. And yes, your kids can wear their costumes.
