It seems like there are an increasing number of Halloween alternative to going door to door trick or treating. Cleveland Metroparks is offering one at its West Creek Reservation Watershed Stewardship Center All Hallows Eve celebration.
Sure, there’ll be treats — s’mores around a fire. And there will be “spooky” songs and stories, that won’t be all that scary — they’re meant to be family-friendly for all ages. And there’ll be an educational component too: while the s’mores are being toasted on the fire, a naturalist will share information about the bones of a variety of animals. Of course, people are urged to come in costume if they wish. It’s free and open to all.
