E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall

The nearly 3,000 capacity E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall on the University of Akron campus in downtown Akron hosts a variety of performances from pop to classical, theater to music to dance. Opened in 1973, it’s the regular home of the Akron Symphony Orchestra and the Tuesday Musical series, a stop for Broadway touring shows, and the host for special events such as 50s/60s teen idol Frankie Avalon,  Spanish actress/singer/comedian Charo, the Magical Polar interactive holiday film experience and Tuba Christmas.
