CUSP Presents Another Concert of Uncommon Sounds

Thu 10/17 @ 8PM

The Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project presents yet another concert of adventurous sounds at the Calicchia Gallery Studio (formerly Convivium 33) this week.

Headliners are composer/bassist James Ilgenfritz and composer/sound artist Matthew Goodheart, who will perform a collaboration for gongs and piano “with audio transducers and double bass with Autonomous Mechanical Instrument Array (AMIA), a family of mechanical “characters” who respond to transmitted data.”

Also on the bill is composer/electronic musician/multimedia artist Heather Mease, currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of TIMARA at Oberlin Conservatory, who uses found and fabricated materials to explore “material culture, waste, and the consequences of nostalgia.”
