Bike Cleveland Event Provides Lights for Cyclists as Days Grow Short

Wed 10/30 @ 6-8PM

You’ve likely noticed how much earlier and how quickly it’s getting dark these days — and soon going off daylight savings is going to strip us of another hour — boo!

If you’re a bicyclist, this likely cuts into your time, since it’s dark by the time most people get home from work. If you don’t want to restrict your rides to weekends, you need lights. Bike Cleveland is here to help. Its Random Acts of Brightness event gives away free front and rear lights, as staff and volunteers ride around looking for unlit cyclists in the dark to install front and rear lights on their bikes for free. If you want to to help hand them out, come to their tent outside their office at West 30th and Bridge Avenue. Dress warm, wear your helmet, make sure your personal bike lights are changed and have a method of carrying a few sets of bike lights with you before heading out.
