Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens’ Ohio Mart, now in its 57th year, is a major fundraiser for the estate, built in the early 20thcentury by one of Akron’s tycoons and turned over to be a house museum and public asset by heirs in the 1950s.
The annual maker market features nearly 150 artisans offering textiles, furniture, home and garden decor, sculpture, personal care items, pottery, glass items, florals, prints, food products, honey from Akron bees, and jewelry — lots and lots of jewelry — from Ohio craftspeople and artists.
Tickets include the self-guided Manor House tour, with the Inspiration in Bloom floral display, the Textile Arts & Artisan Show by the Stan Hywet Needlework Guild, and garden tours.
