Rubber City Rebels Play “Final” Concert as Guitarist Buzz Clic Showcases His Band at Jilly’s

Sun 10/6 @ 7PM

As the lead guitarist with Akron punk band Rubber City Rebels, Buzz Clic was part of the vibrantly creative Akron underground scene of the 1970s that produced such bands as Devo, Tin Huey, the Bizarros and the magnificent Chi-Pig. They put out one major label album in 1980; like all the others except Devo, they never emerged from the underground.

Clic moved on to California, put out some solo material under the name Buzz Clic Adventure and joined occasional Rubber City Rebels reunions. Now the Buzz Clic Adventure will be performing at Jilly’s Music Room with what’s being billed as “a special final performance” of the Rubber City Rebels. Also on the bill are power popsters Dave Rich & His Enablers who have release seven (!) full-length albums in the last 18 months, with another scheduled before the end of the year.
