The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes will be making its beautiful natural spaces a little more magical for one afternoon when it hosts Fairy Tales in the Forest, featuring a variety of special activities.
Some of the activities look ahead to Halloween, which is now an entire “season,” similar to Christmas. So you’re encouraged to break out that costume early and wear it to enjoy activities such as pumpkin decorating and a “spooktacular” hike. There’ll also be a story time, wand and fairy home making, and roasting s’mores in a fire pit, with food and drink available at food trucks and libation stations and local vendors to shop. In addition, from 3-5pm you can pick up some fall perennials in the pavilion.
The event is free and all ages-friendly.
