All summer long, Riverdog Barn in Lorain County brings to town some of the cream of Americana/folk/bluegrass-style artists from around the country. But the rustic barn is also an ideal place to hear some of the area’s best bands in that vein as well, and Riverdog makes sure to book them between touring acts.
This week, as the summer season starts winding down, Maura Rogers & the Bellows will take their place on the barn stage. The group has been for more than decade, adding new music to their repertoire, new releases to their catalog and new fans to their following with their tuneful, heartfelt folk rock with Americana roots. Rogers’ strong, sincere vocals front a band with features distinctive instrumentation, with her longtime sidekick Meredith Pangrace providing harmonies and accordion, bassist Quinn Stefanos and drummer Jeff Babinski thickening the vocal harmonies, and Cleveland music scene veteran Al Moses playing lead guitar.
