Last Chance to Visit Kaiser Gallery and See Its Final Show

Sat 10/5 @ 7-10PM

Sadly, as we previously reported, it’s the end of the line for Kaiser Gallery and Cocktail Lounge in Tremont. So stop in on its final day, Saturday October 5 @ 7-10pm, to say goodbye, have a last drink and check out the closing of its last show, Dreams Have Never Made My Bed, by Jonah Jacobs, the 100th solo exhibition by Cleveland-based artist Jonah Jacobs, who’s known for his intricate, large-scale eco-conscious work using everyday materials, reflecting his concern for sustainability and the environment.

Kaiser, who moved to Cleveland in 2019, opened the gallery at an inauspicious time — in the middle of the COVID pandemic. In four years it has done 31 engaging and challenging solo shows and themed group exhibitions, showing the work of approximately 130 artists, while hosting a variety of events such as poetry open mics, drink-and-draw evenings, drag bingo and special-occasion parties. Kaiser won’t be leaving us though; she’s joined the staff of Heights Arts. She’ll be maintaining the Kaiser website to feature artists and promote events she plans to host at other venues.
