Sat 9/14 @ 10AM-4PM
The 45-year-old nonprofit Firelands Association for the Visual Arts, based in Oberlin, is devoted to connecting the public with art in a multitude of ways. And one of those is its annual Art Fair in the Square, sponsored by the city of Oberlin and taking place outdoors in its Tappan Square.
Nearly 100 artists in a variety of mediums — heavy on giftable arts and crafts such as jewelry, pottery and wearables — will be displaying and selling their work, while fairgoers can enjoy eats from food trucks and music by singer/songwriter Paddy Kinahan, high-energy swamp rockers Cats on Holiday and Louis Cunningham, starting at 11am. (Artist booths open at 10) The fair takes place rain or shine, and admission is free. It’s family-friendly!
