Despina’s Bakery is an unpretentious little storefront on busy Detroit Avenue near the Lakewood-Cleveland boarder where you can grab a coffee or coffee drink and a Greek-style breakfast, lunch or snack item — spanakopita, ham and cheese pita, egg lemon soup, dolmades and more. The familiar baklava is just one of a menu of Greek pastries to eat immediately or take a dozen home, and American desserts such as brownies, coffee cake and banana bread are available too. They also have a catering menu. And prices are very low! Open Tuesday through Saturday 8:30am-2:30pm (until 3 on Saturday), closed Sunday and Monday.
