Brooklyn-based goth-folk cabaret act Charming Disaster are one of those quirky bands who carve out their own niche and tend to assemble a core of fanatic fans. It consists of a pair of singer/songwriters, Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris, with a taste for the macabre. They accompany themselves for ukulele, guitar and foot percussion while performing their original musical narratives of crime, death, myth, magic, love and the occult. Swirling around in their musical mix are murder ballads, the stories of Raymond Chandler, the work of Edward Gorey and the films of Tim Burton.
The duo will be returning to Wizbang Circus Theatre in Cleveland Heights with their interactive Haunted Vaudeville show, featuring the dark, spooky elements their fans love to kick off what’s now a pretty extended Halloween “season.”
