These Touch-a-Truck events have exploded in popularity to the point where I think this is about the 5th or 6th one we’ve seen this year and they’re extending into the fall. Kids just love to get up close to big, impressive vehicles.
The one this week, taking place at Cleveland Metroparks’ Brookside Reservation, will offer them the chance to explore such heavy machinery as bucket trucks, front end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, police cars and other work vehicles. There will also be other fun activities including a 40-ton sandbox, a trackless train and costumed characters to take photos with. Plan your day well and take advantage of the $5 same-day admission coupon to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo which is right nearby! (It’s open until 5pm.)
