Once a year, BAYarts in Bay Village throws a big party to bring its supporters together and raise money for its extensive arts programming. This year, the annual Moondance should be special, as it will honor Nancy Heaton, who retires at the end of the season after 20 years. In that time, BAYarts has been transformed from a sleepy local organization called Baycrafter’s into one of the region’s premiere centers for art, housed in a collection of historical buildings on the Cleveland Metroparks’ Huntington Reservation. In addition to its copious education programs, its galleries exhibit work by some of the region’s most accomplished artists,
The evening, taking place at BAYarts’ campus, will feature food, drink and music by one of the area’s hottest bands, soulful rockers Apostle Jones.
