Since the beginning of the year, a group of local creatives — mostly visual artists — has been meeting month under the name “Quest for the Fest” to explore the idea of creating a new arts events (or events) in Northeast Ohio.
While the outlines of that event are still a little fuzzy, Quest has now joined with an established event which seems to already be accomplishing some of the “Questers” goals: Ingenuity. The Ingenuity Fest opens in less than two weeks (September 27-29) in its permanent space at the Hamilton Collaborative, with this year’s theme “Era of Ascent.”
Quest for the Fest is curating a space to share some of the ideas its informal membership is working on. One of those is called “In the Making” and anyone can participate even if they haven’t attended a Quest meeting. They’ll share anyone’s working-in-progress as part of a looping video that will be showing through the weekend. Just upload a jpeg or video of what you’re working on by Saturday September 21. Go here.
