Anhedonia Delight’s GlamGore at the Grog Shop Pays Tribute to the ’80s

Fri 9/6 @ 8PM

The 80s were too much. Clothes were too fluffy, fussy and glammy, and hair was too big and busy. That means it’s the ideal era for drag queens to emulate; their giant wigs and sequins are the height of 90s fashion. And that’s just what will be happening at this month’s GlamGore event, Die Nasty: A Tribute to the 80s, hosted as always by Cleveland’s Anhedonia Delight.

She warns us, “In this special GlamGore, we pay tribute to the 80s who paved the way for drag with over-the-top sportswear, power suits, campy cat fights, cult classics, big hair, neon, pumps, and shoulder pads. Taking inspiration from Dynasty, Heathers, Clue, and so many more iconic films and media from the 80s, prepare to be dazzled by glitz, gore, and glamour!”

Her guests this month, as always a mix of local and out-of-town guest performers includes Clevelanders Keyanna Diamond, Peach Fuzz and Jace Blaze with special guest Throb Zombie from Rhode Island, who appeared on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Season 5.

Doors are at 8pm, VIP meet-and-greet is at 8:15, and the show starts at 9. As always between-act music is provided by DJ Sissy Bunny. Get tickets here.
