The Rock Hall’s Live & Local summer series presents two more acts from the diverse northeast Ohio music scene. Tobyraps is a self-dubbed “positive rap artist” whose mission, he says, is “Making People Smile.” Eight years ago he was a street performer who created tunes on the spot to entertain passersby. Now he has a full band and three albums under his belt. But he still has the adaptive, engaging personality of a street performer, a kind of goofball who can laugh at himself as he entertains the crowd.

Rubix Groove is a more recent addition to the area music scene, just five years old. In that time, the seven-member group has built a wide-ranging following for its lively, accessible music that, like Tobyraps, easily draws audiences in.

The concert will take place on the outside stage on the Rock Hall’s plaza. It’s free; you can mae a reservation here.
