Once again, the monthly Musicians Workshop hosted by Cleveland Rocks: Past Present Future at the Cleveland Rocks Shop on Waterloo will look at the topic of microphones, this time for instruments.
David Kennedy will host the educational part of the evening, talking about the different types of microphones, their placement, tonality and cost, answering questions and giving attendees the opportunity to try out several different types of mics.
Following the program, there’s a 2 x 4 showcase where four musicians will place two songs each. This month you can hear some local heavy hitters including acoustic finger-style guitarist Doug Woods, sunny jam-band aficionado Dreadlock Dave, Justin Goski of Big Hoke and singer/songwriter Dave Wolfhope.
