Are you ready for yet another festival to squeeze in before the end of summer? Come on down to the Flats where Collision Bend will be holding its second annual Riverfest.
It’s got a stellar music lineup, including two of the area’s hottest bands of the moment, soulful rockers Apostle Jones and classic rock-influenced modern rockers LoConti, as well the blues-inspired Madison Crawl, honky-tonk-style country quartet Country Honk, psychedelic funk rockers Fatback Mango and upbeat pop rockers the Smug Saints, plus DJ Red-I spinning between sets.
Three bars will be serving Collision Bend beers and other drinks, and there’ll be multiple food stations. There’ll even be a charity boat parade to take part in or simply watch and enjoy. (Sign up here to take part.)
A portion of the Riverfest proceeds will also go to a couple of nonprofits, Rec to Connect, which provides recreation therapy to people with disabilities and Flats Forward, which promotes the Flats neighborhood and businesses.
