Da Land Brass Band Brings Their Lively New Orleans Sound to the BOP STOP

Thu 8/22 @ 7PM

It’s hard to think of a Cleveland band more entertaining than Da Land Brass Band with its seven-piece horn line up front and drummer/percussionist in back driving the sound. With its New Orleans street music influences and the colorful presentation of ebullient trombonist/founder William Washington, the band has outstanding musical chops and instant crowd appeal.

The BOP STOP is advertising the band’s upcoming show there as “their debut,” which presumably means “at the BOP STOP” since they’ve been around 7 or 8 years. But it’s only in the last few that they’ve exploded into prominence with sets at events such as Ingenuity, Brite Winter, Juneteenth and Larchmere Porchfest, where they’ve regaled enthusiastic audiences with their can’t-sit-down sound.
