Cleveland guitarist/vocalist Sam Hooper has been performing his blend of soul, blues, jazz and rock in the northeast Ohio for decades, becoming well-known especially to area blues fans. But he’s also performed at festivals around the country and abroad, with extensive performing and teaching experience in China. As the leader of the Sam Hooper Group, he was a semi-finalist in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2019.
He and his band will be performing for Lake View Cemetery’s Summer Band Concert monthly series, moved this year from the lawn of the Garfield Memorial to Daffodil Hill. Bring a folding lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the summer afternoon before they go away. The concert is free.
