Annual Asian Lantern Festival Is Back at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo with Extended Dates Through 9/14

Through September 14

One of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s most popular events is its annual Asian Lantern Festival, when it adorns its grounds with an array of oversized illuminated displays constructed around Asian cultural themes. This year, the all-new displays will include a 50-foor pagoda and themed areas such as the Blooming Gardens.

In addition, the festival offers live performers and an Asian food market, representing the growing diversity of Cleveland’s Asian culture and its food offerings — a long way from chop suey.

Once again you can take in the full festival on foot, or take advantage of an option that grew out of the pandemic, but has been continued for those who want a different way of seeing the display: certain nights are reserved for drive-through viewing form your own vehicle.

Originally scheduled walk-through dates were Thursdays through Sundays, July 5-August 25. Wednesdays are drive-through days. But the festival has bee extended to September 14. Go here to buy tickets.
