Once again, Loganberry Books on Larchmere just north of Shaker Square has reinvented its long-running Author Alley annual event.
Instead of consequence weekends with different themes, it’s re-consolidated the event on a single weekend, with three days of events. It starts with a Friday evening party to celebrate all the authors and literature in general, with refreshments, music, a book swap and the chance to meet a bunch of writers informally. This is a ticketed event; get tickets here.
Then on Saturday and Sunday between noon and 4pm, you can meet round 40 authors each day whose work spans a variety of genres — fiction, nonfictions, mysteries, adventure, kids’ books, self-help, Black and LGBTQ topics and much more.
